How a round works
Hold to enter
A five-second countdown starts. Press and hold the button before it ends to join the auction, or stay out and keep your time.
Hold to bid
When the countdown hits zero, the clock starts and your hidden time bank drains for as long as you keep holding.
Let go to stop
The longest hold wins the token. Nobody sees who has dropped out until the round is over.

A little strategy
With the default settings, each player has ten minutes for nineteen auctions, an average of about 31 seconds per token. Spend more than that early and you'll be watching from the sidelines at the end. Spend too little and the tokens go to someone else. Sometimes the strongest move is not to bid at all, and let your rivals burn time fighting each other.
